I have been authorised to offer the COVD-19 antibody test at the Avalon Clinic, with immediate results. See below to make an appointment at the Avalon Clinic.
An antibody test indicates exposure and therefore can help in determining if someone is safe to return to their workplace and the community. This is more important than just testing for infection and is the reason the UK government is pushing for this test to be widely administered.
As this test measures for two antibodies, it can show exposure to COVID-19 within days of being infected, not just after 28 days as some current tests do.
A finger-prick performed at the clinic is all that is needed. It is much quicker and more reliable than the nasopharyngeal method being widely used - and far less invasive!. The result does not need to be sent to a lab and is shown in around 10 minutes.
Currently, the UK and world governments need as much data as possible to assist with response and intervention. An app has been developed so everyone can report daily.

How does the test work? :
From a tiny blood sample, it identifies whether positive or negative for specific antibodies.
If positive it can show raised levels of two types of blood antibodies, IgG and IgM.

IgG relates to a later stage or past infection.

IgM relates to an early stage or current infection.
A high percentage (possibly 50%) of those infected have had no clinical symptoms. The test can detect current or previous exposure to COVID-19 even if you did not show symptoms.
I currently have limited stock of the test kits and will see clients booked only in advance. Despite private GP appointments charging £245, I feel it is unethical to do so. I am therefore offering this service with consultation at clinic supplier cost of £80, including results certificate.

This test is in partnership with Dr Bobby Ahmed and his team of health professionals across the UK. Dr Ahmed is an experienced physician and known for his media appearances on BBC and Heart Radio and his extensive charity work. He is a member of the Royal College of General Practitioners (MRCGP) and has been awarded the Diploma in Occupational Medicine (DOccMed) and also the world-renowned diploma in Travel Medicine (AFTM RCPS (Glasg)).

The kit is supplied by Dutch NHS supplier Biozek Medical with authorisation from the UK MHRA (Medicines and Healthcare products regulatory Agency)
